Hiring a fundraiser

(Posted by: Henry Warren)

Hi all.

Anyone looking for a job in charity fundraising…

It’s an exciting, challenging role, in an innovative, fast growing charity. Perfect for someone looking to make a name for themselves as a fundraiser.

We’re a young vibrant and fun loving charity with big ideas and even bigger aspirations. We specialise in using IT and innovation to solve problems in the International Development and Education sectors. We work in partnership, running cutting edge projects, with lots of much bigger orgs including the BBC, DfES, DfID, ActionAid, Plan and many more.

We’ve grown very fast over the last few years and it’s now time to set up a fundraising wing to the organisation. Which is what we need you for. In particular we need you to raise money from Grant Making Trusts so we can do more ground breaking work, linking kids online across the world and breaking down cultural and religious barriers. You’d be the first person in the department so you’d have a lot of autonomy to sculpt the way you and latterly your team would work. We don’t do micro management!

We’re not necessarily looking for someone with loads of experience, ideally 1-2 years, but it’s the raw talent we’re really looking for. We need someone who has a lot of potential and who can rise to any challenge thrown their way.

There’s some more info about us and how we work on www.gemin-i.org and our main project – which you would be fundraising for - www.rafi.ki

We look forward to hearing from you!

I am really interested in this and would like to help fundraise. I have at least 6 years of experience and in the past have been successful with government funding as well. I have also worked on a project with DFID. Email kyds.trust@googlemail.com
