Network 2012 is a social enterprise with a social inclusion agenda. It was set up to facilitate and encourage the growth of social enterprise and to provide bursaries through membership fees for start up social enterprises. A large proportion of these bursaries will go towards start up social enterprises from traditionally disadvantaged groups within our society as a way of harnessing All of our creative and entrepreneurial talent. This is the purpose of this site and it is our hope that by becoming a member you will not only be contributing to your own business and personal growth but to the enhanced growth of social enterprise itself through our proposed bursaries.
As individuals we have a history of working in the homeless sector for various charities and we understand full well the frustrations for charities repeatedly going cap in hand to various different funding bodies in order to continue their vital work.
These frustrations have been our original motivating factors and one of the reasons Network2012 has come about. How much better would it be for charities if they could sustain themselves through their own business endeavours with the profits contributing to the services they provide?
The vision of Network 2012 is to see the needs of different communities met by the communities themselves and the businesses they create and manage.
