bEgiNTERPRISE is a new networking society for anyone interested in meeting new people and finding out more about enterprise activity. Events will be interactive and guest speakers will range from local entrepreneurs to representatives from multi-national corporations. bEgiNTERPRISE will provide the perfect opportunity for students and graduates to meet informally and discuss ideas with each other and with business people from the region.

Contact25 organises business-to-business speed networking events. At these events, you will have a series of mini-meetings with new contacts. The idea is that within a few minutes of talking to someone you will be able to work out whether it is possible to do business with them. This makes it a very efficient form of business networking. We provide other speed networking services throughout the UK including speed recruiting and office speed networking.

Making Music is an umbrella organisation for amateur and voluntary music groups of all kinds. From orchestras to brass bands, choirs to steel pan groups, we represent over 2500 groups around the UK. As well as offering support and services to members we also work to promote voluntary music making at all levels. In the North East, Making Music runs a range of events for members and non-members, including ‘surgeries’, cluster groups and training workshops on a wide variety of subjects.

Peer Development Network designed to help develop or learn new skills in specific area/genres of practice, including Early Years Music, Folk, Music Tech, Percussion and Drumming, Singing and Steel Pan. Open to all levels of experience and understanding of music. We particularly welcome non-musicians who would like to extend music activities into their field of work, i.e. Early Years Practitioners, Youth Workers and so on.

NortheRN is an exciting new network specifically designed for professional researchers in the North of England. Endorsed by the MRS the network actively supports national agendas while providing a practical northern activity focus. Service Network is a membership organisation representing the Knowledge Intensive Business Service (KIBS) sector in the North East of England. The membership of nearly 300 companies consists of a close knit group of people with similar views and objectives. We provide a platform for members to make meaningful contacts with like minded service providers, increase awareness of their businesses, and supply intelligence to help them develop, grow and ultimately become more successful.
