  • Intellect Women in IT Forum

    Intellect’s Women in IT Forum seeks to inspire, lead and influence the action to increase the number of women in IT. The forum advises ministers on programmes that need to be undertaken and the likely impact they will have. Topics that the forum focuses on include the difficulties in producing a business case for diversity, sharing best practice, legislation updates and retention issues. The Forum holds meetings regularly, mainly in London but is open to all.

    Women in Business Network is a ladies only networking group aimed at business owners and decision makers within larger organisations. We meet monthly from 12-2pm and offer a mixture of formal and informal networking over lunch. The groups are lively with a good mix of interesting and inspirational ladies from a variety of businesses.

  • The Swan Group

    The Swan Group is a women only networking group. It meets once a month, usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Copthorne Hotel, in Cardiff. The meetings are mostly at lunch time but some times we meet in the evening, especially when we are holding seminars. The group started in March 2007 and has so far held a number of successful and well attended events and seminars. We have also run one event with a charity and we will be holding a ball in February 08 for a charity. Finally, we carried out 2 events for Enterprise week in Cardiff.

    The aim of the WIN meetings is for women in business to meet in an informal and friendly setting to gather information and share experiences. At each meeting there will be a guest speaker talking on a topic of interest to business women, the opportunity to hear from other business women about their experiences and also structured networking sessions. The benefit of the networking experience is that it enables everyone to be able to speak about their business in an informal and relaxed setting.
