In essense, all are welcome, irrespective of our geographical origin, cultural/ethnic background, professional sector. Events are held primarily in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Making Music is an umbrella organisation for amateur and voluntary music groups of all kinds. From orchestras to brass bands, choirs to steel pan groups, we represent over 2500 groups around the UK. As well as offering support and services to members we also work to promote voluntary music making at all levels. In the North East, Making Music runs a range of events for members and non-members, including ‘surgeries’, cluster groups and training workshops on a wide variety of subjects.
