We are part of the SIFE UK organisation of Universities, whereby Sussex University have recently set up a team. We set up this year and are looking to develop four strong projects this year: Education project - we will be mentoring and providing interactive workshops for small groups of ‘at risk’ (of exclusion) schoolchildren from two different high schools in the Brighton area. The aim and focus is to develop these childrens’ motivation, interests, ambitions and entrepreneurial thought. Homeless project - this will be a mentoring project linking local community organisations, businesses, university students and homeless people. The aim and focus will be to develop a relationship between these groups, develop understanding and awareness of homelessness and its affects to the wider community, and to explore and support the needs, health and situation of the homeless people that participate. Refugee project - this will be a fully enterprise focused project which will mentor and educate refugees who want to sety up their own business or enterprise. Network 2012 is a social enterprise with a social inclusion agenda. It was set up to facilitate and encourage the growth of social enterprise and to provide bursaries through membership fees for start up social enterprises. A large proportion of these bursaries will go towards start up social enterprises from traditionally disadvantaged groups within our society as a way of harnessing All of our creative and entrepreneurial talent. This is the purpose of this site and it is our hope that by becoming a member you will not only be contributing to your own business and personal growth but to the enhanced growth of social enterprise itself through our proposed bursaries. As individuals we have a history of working in the homeless sector for various charities and we understand full well the frustrations for charities repeatedly going cap in hand to various different funding bodies in order to continue their vital work. These frustrations have been our original motivating factors and one of the reasons Network2012 has come about. UnLtd, is a unique and dynamic organisation set up to promote social entrepreneurship. Through its six regional offices UnLtd has worked with over 6,000 individuals around the country to help them make a positive impact upon local communities – the largest group of social entrepreneurs anywhere in the world. Unltd runs various training and networking events around the country and is always looking for inspiring individuals to share their experiences. RISE a membership organisation and works as the voice for social enterprise in South West England. We have a number of specialist networks including the Business Advice Network (for those who give information and advice to social enterprises). We have a network of Social Enterprise Mark holders - social enterprises that have proved their social aims, trading levels and governance which permits them to use the ‘fairtrade-style’ identity known as the Social Enterprise Mark.

SENS is the trade association for social enterprises in Suffolk - with a strong focus on social enterprises which are operationally based, exclusively or predominantly, in Suffolk.
