“SIFE is a not for profit organisation active in over 1,800 universities in 47 countries” (www.sifeuk.org). The Nottingham Trent University’s team will be going into 3 schools during enterprise week, along with many other projects we run throughout the year, and running “Enterprise Days”. These day long events will start off with getting the school and sixth form students that we will be working with into teams for a business game. This game is called YOMP and it simulates the setting up of a business by giving the students a series of tasks that need to be completed and they discuss its level of priority over a 5 year long term plan. After using this as an ice breaker we will move into giving the students a simple Belbin Test. This is designed to show the students what role within a team their behaviour best suits them to. Relating this back to their YOMP team game experiences will give the students some confirmation of this.
