    Fashion-Able is a group of young people (12-21) who came together from Grangetown, South Bank and Eston areas of Redcar & Cleveland. We got together for a lively and fun activity project that had never been tried before through a library. The project is based around fashion and designing our own clothing. Our group is based at Grangetown Library. Birchington Avenue. Grangetown Tel 01642 454417. Firstly we set up a constitution with aims and objectives policies, which allowed us to apply for funding. It took us six months of hard work to achieve this. We devised a powerpoint presentation which we showed to various agencies and corporate bodies. We acquired funding from Redcar & Cleveland Education Dept who gave us a start up grant of £2500, after a few more months we submitted an application to Tees Valley Community Chest and acquired further funding. In total Fashion-Able have gained £10.000 of funding. Our official work night is Wednesday from 4.30 to 7.30pm. However many of us meet on other days in the library.
