    “SIFE is a not for profit organisation active in over 1,800 universities in 47 countries” (www.sifeuk.org). The Nottingham Trent University’s team will be going into 3 schools during enterprise week, along with many other projects we run throughout the year, and running “Enterprise Days”. These day long events will start off with getting the school and sixth form students that we will be working with into teams for a business game. This game is called YOMP and it simulates the setting up of a business by giving the students a series of tasks that need to be completed and they discuss its level of priority over a 5 year long term plan. After using this as an ice breaker we will move into giving the students a simple Belbin Test. This is designed to show the students what role within a team their behaviour best suits them to. Relating this back to their YOMP team game experiences will give the students some confirmation of this. We will end the day with some short workshops on how to create an eye catching and fluent CV and some basic interview skills. This will enable them to enter the job market once they …

    Network 2012 is a social enterprise with a social inclusion agenda. It was set up to facilitate and encourage the growth of social enterprise and to provide bursaries through membership fees for start up social enterprises. A large proportion of these bursaries will go towards start up social enterprises from traditionally disadvantaged groups within our society as a way of harnessing All of our creative and entrepreneurial talent. This is the purpose of this site and it is our hope that by becoming a member you will not only be contributing to your own business and personal growth but to the enhanced growth of social enterprise itself through our proposed bursaries. As individuals we have a history of working in the homeless sector for various charities and we understand full well the frustrations for charities repeatedly going cap in hand to various different funding bodies in order to continue their vital work. These frustrations have been our original motivating factors and one of the reasons Network2012 has come about.     Making Music is an umbrella organisation for amateur and voluntary music groups of all kinds. From orchestras to brass bands, choirs to steel pan groups, we represent over 2500 groups around the UK. As well as offering support and services to members we also work to promote voluntary music making at all levels. In the North East, Making Music runs a range of events for members and non-members, including ‘surgeries’, cluster groups and training workshops on a wide variety of subjects.
