Pollen was set up in the summer of 2007 for designers, musicians, creatives, thinkers, doers, writers, DJs, gamers, architects, academics and anyone else who feels they fit outside the mainstream of business. Creative entrepreneurs are faced with unique problems and are often not supported as well as many other types of business. Pollen organises relaxed, no-agenda networking events to bring the creative entrepreneurs of South Wales together to discuss, support and hopefully forge one or two brilliant new alliances. Maybe you’ve got a great idea for an online community but need to hook up with a web developer to realise your dream? Perhaps you’re setting up a record label or a magazine and are looking to speak to others who’ve been through the funding application process? We are a ‘team’ of local business people that meet every Tuesday to discuss business, pass referals and look at how to get more business to each other.

The Swan Group is a women only networking group. It meets once a month, usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Copthorne Hotel, in Cardiff. The meetings are mostly at lunch time but some times we meet in the evening, especially when we are holding seminars. The group started in March 2007 and has so far held a number of successful and well attended events and seminars. We have also run one event with a charity and we will be holding a ball in February 08 for a charity. Finally, we carried out 2 events for Enterprise week in Cardiff.
