    This one day course is aimed at anyone who has a good idea for a youth arts project, but needs help in developing their budget and successfully securing funding for their project. Based upon years of experience of setting up and running successful youth arts projects in a variety of settings, Get Sorted 2 will take you through a step by step guide for planning and drafting your own budget, advise on the best way to fill in funding applications and suggest where you can go to find the funds you need.   • Creative Facilitation

    This one-day course provides an introduction to a creative approach to group facilitation. It aims to encourage, develop and inspire those with responsibility to lead others through a facilitative process, be it for the purposes of team building, consultation, idea-generation or training. Throughout the day we will be using a number of different interactive exercises and games in order to illustrate content. We will also look at group dynamics, communication issues and different learning styles in order to explore how these might be of impact. This course seeks to stimulate your imagination and send you home with ideas and examples of how to develop a creative approach to group facilitation within your own context.   • Behaviour Management and Youth Arts

Undertaking practical workshops and activities with young people requires a broad understanding of youth culture and the issues surrounding young people’s lives.   • Using the Arts with Young Refugees and Asylum Seekers

    This one day course is a practical exploration of the role and use of arts with young refugees and asylum seekers. The course begins with an exploration of the barriers to social and educational inclusion experienced by young people when they begin a new life in Britain and explores the role of the arts in contributing to inclusion. During the training day participants will sample a number of practical approaches, which are accessible to young people who are not fluent in spoken English. They will also explore different ways of developing and adapting these approaches to youth arts work with young refugees and asylum seekers. Most approaches begin with drama or movement though there will be exploration of other art forms such as video and visual arts.
