    Yorkshire Television began broadcasting on 29 July 1968. Now known as ITV Yorkshire, it produces some of the nation’s most watched television programmes from its home in Leeds, including long-running favourites such as Emmerdale, A Touch of Frost, Heartbeat, The Royal and Countdown. At a special evening event to mark 40 years of ITV in our region, guests are invited to go behind the scenes of two of Yorkshire’s most famous programmes – Calendar and Emmerdale. You will find out more about ITV Yorkshire and will meet one of the producers of the regional news magazine programme ‘Calendar’ before watching it go live from the studio gallery at 6pm. After the live broadcast, there will be a chance to see behind the scenes of Emmerdale - one of Yorkshire’s most famous brands and now in its 36th year of production. The evening will finish with drinks and networking.
