Daniel is the founder and Managing Director of China Consulting, a London based company which advises British businesses on their strategy for entering the Chinese market.

  • What makes your network different or special?

    We are cross cultural - promiting British/Chinese relations.

  • Why is getting connected important to make things happen?

    To break down cultural barriers and to assist those with a common goal.

  • What are your top tips for hosting a great networking event?

    We hold regular networking events for Chinese and British people. It is important to create the right tone - where people are encouraged to speak to others and not feel uncomfortable when approaching a group.

    Speeches should be short and not overly formal.

    Alcohol should be available!

    People should bring business cards and be encouraged to hand them over.

  • What is the best connection you have made or recieved?

    Through networking, we met an American investor, living in Beijing but who was traveling to the UK for business.

    We are now working closely with him on various consulting projects and he is looking into investing into our company and becoming a Board Member. This would be a very good platform for our development.
