Q&A
  • Why is getting connected important to make things happen?

Its about building layers of trust, if people know you, or know someone that knows you, you stand a better chance of clinching that sale and of doing a better job for that client as they trust you and hence share more information.

  • What is the best connection you have made or received?

Best connection is every connection, no connection is more important than another as you never know who knows someone that might be vital for your business.

  • What are your top tips for making great connections?

Attend as many networking events as possible, spend 50% of your time at networking events talking to people you’ve met before, it builds layers on knowledge about each other and they won’t think you’re ignoring them by only talking to new faces. The person you already know doesn’t know that everyone else is a new face to you.

  • What tools or resources do you use to keep in touch with people?

Business Cards are an invaluable resource. Never throw one away, you never know who will ask you if you can recommend a “xxx”. Recommending someone makes you look better connected and helps build peoples confidence in you.
