My top tip to making great connections is to remember connections are people. If you start to think of your connections as just connections you’ve lost the plot and often that friendship. Great connections are great friends, first and foremost. You’re always willing to go that extra bit for a friend.
At the bottom of everything is people. You can’t change the world by yourself. You can’t possibly know everything, be everywhere or do everything. Without being connected to others you can only do so much. Do make a real difference you need help.
The best resources for networking are email, phone and coffee.
Nothing can beat sitting down, chatting to someone and really listening to what they have to say. You’ll be amazed by what comes out of a genuine conversation.
