Emma Walker is the Regional Director for The Athena Network and has brought the womens networking groups to the Black Country. She is also the owner of CKPA Office Solutions, a Dudley based Virtual Assistant business working with clients to delegate their task list allowing them to focus on money making activities within their business.   • What makes your network different or special?

    Women tend to network differently to men and there is such a different kind of energy when you have a room full of dynamic businesswomen - you can’t shut us up! Business tends to get passed quite organically and firm friendships are made.

  • Why is getting connected important to make things happen?

    By being connected, you can turn your dream into reality. You never know who you are talking to and building relationships is the key to successful networking.

  • What are your top tips for hosting a great networking event?

    Preparation is everything. Check and then double check all arrangements. You also want to make sure the quality of people attending is right - as opposed to just bums on seats!

  • What are your best networking links / resources?

    Ecademy and other online networking sites are brilliant and you have always got your local events to attend.

  • What is the best connection you have made or received?

    For me it was becoming involved with The Athena Network as all the Regional Directors and Co-Founders are savvy businesswomen and I always learn so much from them which helps me in both my businesses.
