My background is as a Software Engineer and I work for a medical device company, In my spare time I run the Girl Geek Dinners network of events and host the London Girl Geek Dinner events. I guess you would call me a bit of a Girl Geek really… You can usually find me playing with tech toys and gadgets. I rarely sit still. I’m usually doing something and I’m a bit of a sports enthusiast.

  • What are your top tips on being an effective networker?

    Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. Be honest, let people know of time constraints and utilize technology to free up some of your time!

  • What is the best connection you have made or received?

    That’s a hard one… I guess I would have to say… Simon Brown (Microsoft) or some of the Google team… or Skype… agh…. Too many… that’s really not a fair question… I think a more interesting one would be who is the most valuable connection you have… and that would be my team at the Girl Geek Dinners.

  • What are your best networking links / resources?

    I think I could go on forever with the list but I’ll stop there. The simple answer is if you are looking for a tool online then shout because I’ve probably come across something and if not then I’d be interested in hearing about where the need for the tool comes from.
