I am an entrepreneur and currently running a green technology business called www.golowtransport.com. I am also the CEO of European Young Professionals (www.eyplondon.org) which is a fantastic organisation here in London. I got involved in my first business when I was 19 and have been involved in a range of businesses and investment activities since then. For about ten years, I was in the Australian Army as well and saw service in East Timor and Iraq.

  • What are your tips for being an effective networker?

    Having a strong network is really important on a whole number of levels. Be a friendly person and seek opportunities to help people that you know; you will be far more effective at building a good network if you can help each other.

  • What is your advice to a young entrepreneur?

    Most of us go through good and bad times in building a business, and I think that real entrepreneurs are able to get through this and accept very high stress and uncertain times. You need to be confident in your ability to achieve your goals and build a team and network around you that can support you in that. And try and get advice from other successful entrepreneurs!

  • What is the best connection you have made or received?

    Perhaps the best is through Meltwater Ventures, the business incubator that my latest business came out of. The guys behind this had been very successful technology entrepreneurs, and through my time there, I have been introduced to a fantastic group of people and businesses dedicated to green enterprise.
