Q&A
  • What are yout top tips for effective networking?

Even if you are not naturally outgoing and find various events and conferences daunting, you are probably networking without realising it. Whenever you meet other people and tell them about your business, you are networking. Never make assumptions about the person you are talking to, everyone has friends, colleagues, relations and contacts, and one of them might be just the person you need to speak to.

  • What advice do you have for a young entrepreneur?

Build your support network, you don’t have to know everything just know other people who can help you. Use your personal network of friends and family or find a coach/mentor or other fellow young entrepreneurs, you might be surprised how much people like to help as it makes them feel important.

  • What is the best connection you have made or received?

My best connection has been with a fellow entrepreneur, we had both recently started a new company and realised that by combining our networks and actively promoting the other business we could help each other grow their business. It was a real Win:Win relationship for both of us and worked.
