In the past I’ve facilitated communications for the Youth Caucus at the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society, advised the Internet strategies of a range of companies and organisations, and was also Chief Editor of the Italian edition of cafebabel.com. I’ve spoken at a dozen international conferences about social media and ICT for Development, including at the Second World Urban Forum, the World Summit on the Digital Divide and International Chamber of Congress (ICC) World Congress. I hold an MA in Media and Communication Studies and a BA in Political Science. I am deeply convinced that social networking and technology when meaningfully leveraged can contribute to making the world a better place.

    NRG Business Networks

    Dave Clarke

I live in North Wiltshire with my wife, three children and amongst great friends. Community life revolves around the church, the school, the heritage society, the village hall & the Pub! It’s a great place to raise a family being removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, but not too far removed! My expertise is in relationship based business development. I am not a natural salesperson so when I began began my career in Sales & Marketing 20+ years ago I needed to find ways to generate results in order to progress my career. I learnt that time spent in building relationships first paid dividends and led to better long term results than those achieved by salespeople with a focus on transactions and short term volume. I utilised that expertise in my own consulting business to help Business Owners build strategic partnerships to leverage their value, win better business and dominate market niches. Results achieved were spectacular. £200K to £5million in 3 years, startup to £1million in 1 year and £10million in 3 years. I now use this system to help business owners develop themselves, and grow their business through NRG Business Networks.

    Schmooze and Booze

    Helen Lewis

Helen is a 23-year-old sub-editor on the Daily Mail, and a graduate of Oxford University and the City University Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. In 2006 Helen created Schmooze & Booze. Schmooze & Booze is a regular networking event for young journalists and other media workers. She wondered how it was that all middle-aged journalists knew each other and so the first Schmooze & Booze was held in August 2006 at the Commercial Tavern in the East End, the second in the Angelic pub in Islington in October, and the third at the Southwark Rooms in November.
